About

Bebe Barberson

I’m a senior product designer based in Chicago with 10+ years of experience across fintech, e-commerce, media, aviation, and consumer products.

My work often sits in complex spaces: multi-sided products, regulated industries, design systems, and flows where trust matters the most. I’m drawn to problems that need structure, nuance, and systems thinking.

I think of design as a product’s body language. People feel it, even when they don’t consciously notice it. Small choices in structure, pacing, language, and flow can quietly shape whether people feel confident or confused. I also see design as the first step toward development, not a separate phase before it. The best work happens when product, design, and engineering shape the solution together. At Aeropay, I lead product design across a multi-product fintech ecosystem spanning B2B tools, customer-facing experiences, and Aerosync, Aeropay’s proprietary bank-linking product, working closely with product, engineering, and leadership.

Earlier in my career, I worked with brands including Boeing, Target, iHeartMedia, and NBC. Those experiences taught me how to adapt across industries, understand different business contexts, and bring clarity to ambiguous problems.

Outside of design, I love traveling, making art, learning something new, or tending to my plant family.
